The machine turns on every time the water runs through. I can smell the ozone in the water when I run a cycle without my laundry detergent drawer installed. I’ve mostly stoped using detergent and my clothes don’t stink (and my husband is a contractor in Louisiana, so he sweat drenches multiple shirts a day). The clothes are noticeably softer without using the detergent.

Works as promised.
This is a quality product. We have been using it now for a month and have had no problems at all. It came with good directions and was a quick easy install. It cleans really well and leaves clothes smelling fresh and clean with no bad odors.
It is not a miracle device, there are still stains and things that are problems just like with detergent, but I actually believe that this cleans better.
I would recommend this product to friends and family.
